Art & Architecture Legacies

Modern architecture and Ancient Egyptian archtectural designs and style are similar in several ways. To begin with, both modern and Ancient Egytian architecture are based on beliefs. For example, the Ancient Egyptians believed that the pyramids were "staircases" to heaven if they were as big as we see them now, today, the taller the building, the more power the nation has. Second, they built what they believed in the most, bigger than other buildings, much like the pyramids and banks of today. Finally, Ancient Egyptians and modern archtecture have built many grand buildings for whoever ruled their land and people, such as the Pharoahs, Kings, Queens, Presidents, Prime Ministers, etc.
