The Nile River is the longest River in the world, at a distance of about 4,160 miles or (6,690 km.)The Nile River rises near equator and flows through Mediterranean Sea.Once a Year , between July and October, the Nile flooded, and covered the valley with a thick layer of mud and silt. The Nile River irrigates about 6 million acres. Water from the Nile deposited fertile silt. Egyptian Farmers planted grains, beans, and vegetables in the wet Nile mud. Crops grew quickly, and grave good yields. The fresh silt every year acted as a natural fertilizer. Click on the following links to get more information.
