       The Ancient Egyptians made the first weapon in Egypt which was the bow and arrow. They used the bow and arrow to kill people that invaded their kingdom and wanted to steal their property. In the army in Ancient Egypt the soldiers used to wear light protection because it was hard to run in big, heavy armour. Now people use weapons to protect their country. The bows and arrows had many uses in Ancient Egypt such as, the army use to make the soldiers practice their aiming by shooting arrows and throwing rocks at a certain target. Now new inventions are similar from bows and arrows such as the new toys for kids and the game archery and many other stuff.

           In Ancient Egypt people used to call people that were experts in bows and arrow, bowmen. People on the chariots used to ride their horse to a another soldier and smack them with a mace on their brain that which left them dead. The spear was for stabbing a ememy that was close to you because a spear acts like a knife. Charioteers used to carry bows and arrows with them too to get a better shot at a ememy. The soldiers always used to carry spears, battle axes, scimitars (sword) and daggers.The Old Kingdom had soldiers equipped with a great  weapons such as : shields, spears, cudgels, maces, daggers, bows and arrows. Quivers and battle axes came into use before the second period. The earliest metal arrowheads was made of copper hardened by hammering.
